How can I get from Lake Kawaguchiko to Kyoto?

When traveling from Lake Kawaguchiko to Kyoto, the route “Kawaguchiko Station → Mishima Station → Kyoto Station” is convenient.

1. Kawaguchiko Station → Mishima Station:
   Take the local bus “Mishima-Kawaguchiko Liner” operated by Fujikyu Shizuoka Bus. Reservations are required, and the ride takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
2. Mishima Station → Kyoto Station:
   Take the Tokaido Shinkansen. The ride takes about 1 hour to 1 hour and 20 minutes.

If you can take a “Hikari” Shinkansen that stops at Mishima Station, you may be able to reduce travel time compared with going via Tokyo. However, the number of Hikari trains stopping at Mishima is limited, so please check the timetable in advance.
