I was waiting for a bus at the Kawaguchiko Music Forest Museum bus stop, but it was full and I could not board.
During peak tourist seasons—especially the cherry blossom and autumn foliage seasons, Golden Week, and the summer holidays—the Kawaguchiko Sightseeing Bus (Red Line) can become very crowded, and passengers may not be able to board because the bus is full.
In this situation, please try the following options.
1. Check another nearby bus stop
The “Kawaguchiko Museum of Art” bus stop is located on a different street, a short distance from the Kawaguchiko Music Forest Museum. If you are returning toward Kawaguchiko Station, this bus stop may be another option.
However, the stops served and destinations may vary depending on the service. Please check the Fujikyuko Bus timetable or route search to confirm that the bus is heading toward Kawaguchiko Station.
2. Use a regular local bus
Fujikyuko Bus states that the sightseeing bus 1-Day Pass and 2-Day Pass can also be used on regular local buses operating within the pass’s designated area.
If the Red Line is crowded, consider switching to a regular local bus. Regular local buses may depart from a different bus stop than the sightseeing buses, so please check the timetable or route search for the correct boarding location before travelling.
3. Wait for the next bus
Buses operate at regular intervals. If you have enough time, you may wish to take a break inside the museum or at a nearby café while waiting for the next service.
In the late afternoon or evening, please also check the departure time of the last bus.
4. Use a taxi or ride-hailing app
It takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes by taxi to reach Kawaguchiko Station. Ride-hailing apps such as Uber Taxi may also be available.
